We have a rich heritage of faith which has, down through the centuries, given meaning to the lives of many; offered hope and support to many others; encouraged countless numbers to be bold and has chastened the arrogant and proud. The Western World would not be the same without the great contribution of Christianity in shaping its politics, its, art, music architecture (culture in general) and its understanding of law and civic society. Our world has been shaped by the people of faith in every sphere of human endeavour and we should rightly give thanks to God for this.
Make November a month when you thank God, not only for saints especially Andrew, the Reformation, the sacrifice of good men and women that we might live in peace and with freedom but also those people who have shaped your life, the families and friends, teachers, and others who all contributed to making you the person you are. The fellowship of faith continues – we are just but a little part of it but when considered numerically runs to numerous millions of people trying to make the world a better place because we follow the example of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
